I am on a mission to find a nylon/ kydex shoulder holster system. It seems there are many many leather options available with nylon options being fairly sparse. I would like to find a horizontal carry rig, with changeable holster options.
Any insight or suggestions are welcome.

"Opticsplanet.com"...has many nylon shoulder rigs

psssst...dont let everyone know about this...but there is this thing called the "google" came up with soooo many nylon shoulder holsters....to list on this page

Look at the Black Hawk system, nylon harness with quality holsters.

ROAShooter; I appreciate your response, do you have any experience with any? I would deeply appreciate suggestions on quality rigs. The price range on these, like their leather counterparts, vary greatly.

Rad...my preference is leather....the feel....the smell....my blued S&Ws are all from the 70s......would just not be right to put in plastic....and my SS..S&Ws would be jealous....

Believe me when I say I love leather, but due to an allergy leading to dermatitis, unfortunately leather holsters are out of the question.
So, now that the leather owb and iwb holsters have been replaced, I need to replace my Miami shoulder rig. :banghead:

About 10 years ago I carried a 1911 in a nylon Bianchi Tuxedo rig. It looks like they're still on the market here, on Amazon, and Midway, among others.

I found it as comfortable as a Miami classic, and liked the way the holster broke up the gun profile and provided a little more cushioning against the body without added bulk.

I bought a very inexpensive Fox Tactical nylon shoulder holster a while back. I believe it's the same as the link below.

I'm not sure of the size, but a .40 USP fits nicely. I got it on clearance for $9 because I wanted to try out a shoulder holster. I've become a big fan of the rig. I mostly use it when I shovel snow in the winter. The USP is very winter glove friendly, and I find the shoulder holster easier to get to when bundled up than the other options I've tried.

If you're looking for a deep concealment rig, this might not be the right set up. It's rather bulky. If you're looking for a comfortable way to carry a big 'Ol gun around, try it out.

Wait for it to go on sale. If you don't like it, you're out less money than a fast food lunch.

Thanks for all of the replies. The bianchi tuxedo rig looks pretty good, and I may have to give it a try. I suspect I'll probably have to try several different ones before I find one I like. So please, keep the experienced suggestions coming.

Uncle Mikes. You won't get "changeable holster" in nylon or for cheap.
"...there is this thing called the "google"..." It's called a search engine.

"...there is this thing called the "google"..." It's called a search engine.

Google results for a potential purchase like this are going lead one to reviews from dubious sources with even less of a known quantity factor for background than a gun forum. Even worse, someone might end up with a cheap throwaway brand that ends up in the box of holsters at a back of the closet. E.g., Uncle Mikes.

Thanks psyopspec, that's the thing, I'm looking to replace a Miami classic. I don't mind dishing out the cash for a good holster, but I don't want to shell it out four times, over botched and biased online reviews. That's why I posted the question here. Thank you for the responses.

I don't know your budget or if you have to have nylon, but I just bought a DeSantis New York Undercover for my Glock 36 from Optics Planet. It was discounted to $115.00 and will hold a Glock 19 and by chance my CZ75PCR fits right in, too.

Lurking here on this one too. I prefer nylon, am a lefty, and want vertical not horizontal. Can't begin to count the hours I have waded through search results. You go blind after awhile and you can't even trust the text for the product. I have one sitting in a box, claimed it was vertical and ambi (thus could be switched to left hand) but it wasn't.

I have an older Uncle Mike's horizontal holster for S&W K and L frame revolvers and have been very satisfied with it's design, construction, and comfortability while carrying my Model 686 in it.
