The Stoeger Condor Outback is an interesting gun for the type of hunting I do. $369 MSRP.
The top barrel could have a rifled slug - possibly with a rifled choke tube for deer. The bottom barrel could have #6 shot for grouse. Hmmm.
After the first few days in a stand, I go walk around during deer season. I usually flush a grouse or two. Those rifle/shotgun combos always seemed a little goofy for my interests.
I probably won't spend the money or move away from a deer rifle anytime soon, but a short o/u for deer/birds seems like a fun little gun to carry around the woods.
It also seems like it would be a great "one gun only" option as the short barrel and rifle sights would work well for home defense.
Does anyone hunt with this kind of set-up?
