It doesn't matter which party they're in. Right now, it doesn't even matter that some of them would prefer to ban guns.

What matters right now is that legislators want to stay in office, and Pelosi's recent opposition to Holder's statements gives some insight about that.

I counted FIVE posts in this thread where the source of the article is trashed in some way.

We appreciate people who are unaware of this widely publicized information having their awareness raised. The problem is that any rumor needs to be substantiated when the information is well known within the firearms community and oft repeated in the anti-Democrat/Obama groups. The folks who have heard the dire predictions a dozen times before begin to become numbed to it and another cry of WOLF is exasperating.

The much more disturbing information that many should be made aware of is the US AG stating, not opining, but stating, that there will be another AWB and the Majority Leaders of the House and Senate deflecting the statement when one of them has based their political existence on an AWB in the past. That information is easily attributed and coupled with this "shopping list" makes for far more credible information that should interest a wider audience and engender a broader discussion.

Crying WOLF is not productive.

I duck in here off and on during slow days for tips (like the debate about worn hands on Colts the other day) and amusement (the Moore video earlier today) and occasionally to contribute a local news item or thought ("Laid-Back Lockdown"). Not to be lured to your site to line your pocket. I'm a gun hobbyist, not an internet consumer.
