The more that Obama makes his radical views known to a wider audience, the less popular support he's going to have. Right now his only appeal is that he's different; he's relatively young, relatively good-looking, relatively black, and he wrote a book with a warm and fuzzy sounding name that looks good sitting on a bookshelf. These qualities might be enough to propel him to early popularity, but his views are far too radical to be accepted by middle America.
The USDOJ even reported in "Violent Encounters - A Study of Felonoius Assaults on Our Nation's Law Enforcement Officers" that "None of the rifles, shotguns or handguns connected with this study were obtained from gun shows or related activities."
Even though the sample size was relatively small, the fact that NONE of the firearms came from a gun show is quite telling of the existence of the so-called loophole.
Here, here! If I hear one more dumb@ss reporter refer to this nutjob as "heavily armed" I'm gonna puke.
He had a 9mm, what many regard as the smallest effective pistol round, and a .22 target pistol.
Yes, the 9mm was an effective tool, but he wasn't "heavily armed" by any stretch. The police forces that responded were "heavily armed." (at least those I saw in coverage)
