not me sayin it! examiner.com
officers who know about this cannot come forward without endangering themselves and facing possible retaliation from the administration.
It's no more out of the realm of possibility than generals who attempt to impose their religious views on their commands, is it?YGBSM. Heard it from a friend of a friend. Riiiight.
As a current mid-level military officer...this is tinfoilhattery.
to be fair, promoting those who share the same views as the civilian leadership to key or cherry positions is hardly something new.The what if scenario doesn't bother me at all. There have been times when its been necessary for the military to deal with a large civil unrest problem.
However; when a noted author claims that the President of the US is restructuring the military based on who will say that they will shoot US citizens, these reports become less of a what if scenario when dealing with something like the Watts Riots and more of a "Dear Lord what are they really thinking about doing?".
