Odd 45 Case

I was desperate the other day and was prepping some small primer pocket 45 ACP cases for reloading. I discovered a few with an unusual (to me) headstamp.

They were nickel plated, small pocket, Triton brand (which I have encountered before, but were marked 450 SMG . My measurements indicate they are the same as standard 45 ACP.

Anyone have any information as to the origin or reason for the markings?

It's 450 SMC. Look closer. Like a .45 super with a small primer pocket.
