Ok so a friend just shot a .410x73magnum through a .410 shotgun, i wasent around to wotness it but he tells me it was innacurate and left unburnt powder through the inside of the barrel. What info can u give on this caliber? Its not the same as a .410 is it? Hoe dangerous was this? Shot through a single shot break action rifled barrel .410. Agaib info on the caliber would be nice.

.410 shotshells come in several lengths:
2.5"
2.75"
3".............sometimes called a "magnum"

In the USA, 3" magnums are very common

73mm is about 2.87 inches, call it 2.9 and and it sounds pretty close to what we'd call a three inch shell.

2" 410

Gamebore makes a 2" 410 shotgun shell in number 7 and 6 shot. I have quite a few boxes of these and lots of fun for small kids to shoot. Also pretty challenging for skeet.

Ok that makes more sense. Ive just never seen an all steel shotgunshell, ive seen 10guage in brass but never steel.
