Odd Question

I really like the Ruger p-97 .45 pistols, and have owned a couple, both stolen I might add. Now, I have been searching with the intent to replace them,,but can no longer find the DAO versions that I so prefer, so the questions I have is can the Decock or Safety versions be converted to DAO by a competent Gunsmith or can I send them to Ruger to have this done?
