Oddball guns you liked and wish you had kept . . .

Yeah - the three S&W Model 29's I parted with over the years, as well as the Model 1955 .45 ACP Target. :banghead:

oh, and the Remington Model 51 pistol. Smooth and sweet.

But foremost is the first .22 Rifle I ever owned...damn, a guy can go dumb sometimes...:fire:

By "oddball" I mean guns that weren't all that common, that you got rid of and lived to regret getting rid of.

Pretty much any top-break revolver I ever had, not of least of which the Webleys. NAA Mini in .22WMR, sorta.

I might get laughed right off the forum for this one, but I used to have an Intratec Cat 9 that I wish I still had. It was gawd awful in just about every way, but it was just so odd looking I wish I would have kept it.

I traded a Radom VIS 9mm auto (with Nazi stamps) I got from a friend of my Dad's who brought it back as a war trophy, for a '1903-A3. I still have the rifle but sure wish I still had the pistol too.

wish I still had

My Savage Mod 24
22Mag/20Ga
I carried it with me when checking my trap lines.
It was really handy

I really wish I had kept a Taurus M327 I bought for my wife. I liked the versatility of firing nearly every .32 cartridge depending on need and purpose.

Ouch..

Double ouch.
Tell me. We all thought everything would always be around to buy it again someday. Here's the for Sale pic I took for it:

This one was a toughie, I really liked it and had a ton of money sunk into it, but the there wasn't enough adjustment in the scope to get it on the paper, and the rail would twist when it heated up. In the end it was the right decision. Someday I'll get a Springfield M1A to cover the .308 hole in my arsenal.

A nifty mid 80's Charter Arms .357. It was a 5-shot frame, so it was slender, and it had a 4" barrel with adjustable target sights.

Sold it towards something plasticky and tacticool. Wish I still had that ol' Charter...

MAB P-15. Very nice pistol that I picked up cheap but then let go to someone who presented me with a lot of $100 bills.

Winchester Big Bore model 356 Winchester. Like new. Pretty rare.

Many moons ago, I had the chance to trade a "wildcat" 25-06(at the time it WAS a wildcat) for a Pre 64 Model 70......Super Grade......22 Hornet and I didn't do it. I still get sick thinking about the deal that I didn't make.

The second gun I ever bought when I turned 18- Armi Jager .22 Italian made M16 lookalike. Looked, functioned, and dissasembled just like a real M16- had a broken firing pin when I bought it which I replaced with a ground down roofing nail- probably put another 3-4000 rounds through it after that and I remember maybe two or three FTF, accurate as hell...only sold it in '08 when the Great Recession hit and I had to feed the family.....

Lots of long gun and handgun discussion going on here, so I've moved this to GGD.

30 years ago I briefly owned a Firearms International Bronco .410 ga. Bought it for $25 and sold it for $50. Today it is considered collectible, and I have seen them listed on GB for $300 and up.
