    I recently picked-up a 12 ga. single barrel, break/hinged action shotgun.
It is marked as and H&R (Harrington & Richardson) R+D piece. The odd thing is the action break lever being forward of the trigger inside the trigger guard. I'm thinking this piece was thought-up during the mid to late 1940's when H&R transition from the top lever to the right side lever positions for the action releases.
Has anybody ever seen anything like this before? Any info will be appreciated for research purposes.
