Is it still around or what. I just today had my second Pact Professional go sour. Like the last one it started reading and printing everything that had ever been recorded in it. I went to menu and tried to erase everything to no avail. I tried to shut it off, nothing. I finally had to pull the battery out just to shut it off. Put in a new battery, same thing. This is the same thing that happened to the last Pact, which Pact replaced free.

I found a large rock and smashed this one and will never buy another.

Anybody got an answer about the old standby Oehler, or a recommendation for a good chronograph with a portable read out.

Thanks, and I'm still not calmed down...........

Oehler is still around. We just had a member buy a 35P from them direct. Beyond the 35P not sure what their offerings are. Be advised however an Oehler 35P chronograph is not an inexpensive investment. Model 35P System, complete runs $575.

I called them last year and they were great with helping me get some spare sky screen parts and a new print head for my 35P. Mine was a gift from my wife maybe 17 years ago when the cost was much less than today.

The 35p is great. I have been thinking about picking up a spare one "just in case" since they are in limited production. Either that or just some spare parts.

Off the top of my head, I cannot ever think of a failure with mine. I have shot too fast before so it was still printing when I shot and it missed it but beyond that no issues.

Win71;

I've had a 35P for about 16 years now. Did recently have to have Oehler put a new print head into it. That ran about $60.00. Over the period of time I've had it Oehler has always been ready to help me with spare parts at reasonable prices and free help anytime I've had need of them.

I had heard that Oehler was back in production of the 35P, but I don't know what they're asking for it. However, I also know that you get a fair amount more than I did when I bought mine. The current one comes with a hard case and rails I'm told. That's a nice perk, I had to make my own.

$535 with a case and a stand to set it up. I talked to them today at the NRA show. They now have parts and the 35p is in consistent production. I will still probably buy one just as a spare but I am not that worried about it anymore. They had parts all along for us owners, just not enough parts to maintain production as I was told.

Great setup, I still love the proof channel.

And great...........personal!................customer service as well!

I've an old 33 that I had a problem with a few years ago. Completely rebuilt the thing (gave me a new one is more like it) free. Experienced a minor issue with that and talked to a tech.......sent it back & had it returned in a week with a personal note.

It was interesting. The Lady (in the truest sense of the word) I talked to was Mrs Oehler. She seemed to know what was going on with the plant for some reason....
