Maybe a bit late to ask but does anyone have the "OEM" .45ACP magazines that Midway is selling? Any good?
Years back I used to buy similar "GI" ones.

They had what seemed like a good deal on a 10-pack so I ordred it. Came to about $8.56 per mag including shipping.
This was for a 1911 type gun I used to own that I re-aquired.

I've had higher end mags that didn't do much better when feeding SWC's and HP's so I figured why spend the extra money.

I bought some of the High Standard magazines from Midway.

They seem to be very well made and best of all, They work great.
The finish seems to be very durable.

Get some you won't be sorry.

Slightly off topic, but I have never had a problem with any 1911 I ever bought (at least for awhile-I have had magazines become unreliable with heavy use). Even back when I used to be fairly serious about IPSC I used GI surplus mags that I bought at the gunshow.
I have paid a lot more for magazines over the years. Chip McCormick, and Wilsons but when the others work fine, there isn't much to improve on.

I am glad to hear these magazines from Midway are working out for you. It is nice to get something inexpensive that works now and then.

Remember how we used to ahve to radius the cornes on 1911 mags.
These are done right from the factory.

Every one of the mags in the 10 and the 50 pack will lock a slide back.
The feed lips seem reasonably hard too.

Great bargain.

Sam

Ok
You got me.
I ordered a 10 pack.
You can't have too many magazines.
These ought to make great practice magazines and will save my Wilsons for any potential Mall Ninja activities.

Can yous guys help me out here? Where can I buy these online? Do you have a URL, a phone number? Thank you.

Like I said, The ones I have work 100%

Wondernine,

I saw posts referencing that price and I couldn't find that price in Midway's website nor in their printed catalog. I haven't called though.

I paid $79.50 for my first 10 pack plus shipping. Then I ordered a 50 pack.

I have seen posts that reference the $79.50 price as a "sale price" on these magazines but I don't know that to be true. I only know that is what they are charging for a 10 pack.

They had them on sale at $45 for several months, I just noticed that their sale ended...guess we procrastinated too long. They were even cheaper in quantity.

They probably upped the price after they got good feedback on them.:D

Oh well, they work ok for me and are well worth the price I paid. By the 10-pack and including shipping it came to about $8.50 per mag.:)
