I'm defending myself tomorrow against a speeding ticket I got a while ago. I think I have a pretty good case and can get get the case dismissed on several points. I give myself around 90% chance of winning. From now on i'm going to contest all my tickets because it's not really hard to find ways to get them dismissed. If the cop wants to be an ***, why not be an *** yourself and play lawyer? Some cops just don't think. Let's see I was driving my dads car and I have an out of state license. The speed sign is at the bottom of the hill, not near the top where he tagged me. The signs says 45mph even when it's a highway. The cop forgot to write down the designated speed on the ticket, and that i'm not the registered owner. There are so many ways I can get this ticket thrown out it's damn funny. If the cop does show up i'm going to make him look like true *** on the stand. I even made a nice video tape of the road to prove that the sign was poorly placed. I will be victorious over the system tomorrow.
Off to court I go.

Good luck, but you are still at the mercy of the court system. The judge makes the final decision and even though you may think you are right he may rule against you. Don't think they haven't heard it all yet on folks trying to get out on technicalities, because they have.

You may be in the right, and the guy may be an ***, but you sure sound juvenile in how you are comporting yourself.
Be this cocky in front of the judge tomorrow, and I guarantee that the judge will find a reason to not let you off the hook and make YOU look bad.
Be polite, don't take the stand in your own defense, plan ahead, look sharp, and ask good questions in cross-X (e.g., How fast was I going, officer? Then why didn't you write that on the charging instrument [i.e., the ticket]?). That he didn't write down your speed or that he wrote the wrong statute or license # are the only technicalities I'd expect to win on.
The judge could care less whether or not you're the owner, as you're still the operator. Skewering the cop will not be looked at favorably unless he was grossly negligent or derelict, or an outright liar. Let him dig the hole for himself with subtle proding.
Getting your day in court is good, though you may be best to ask for diversion, such as traffic school. Anyway, this is very off-topic.

Whoever speaks first, loses. Let them make the case against you, then tear it apart. Do not attempt to make your case first. Be polite and respectful to everybody. If the Judge senses you do not respect cops, he may give you reason to. Good Luck!
