bomb dropper There is a guy on here selling hand made wood reloading blocks if your looking

Yep, he is around here somewhere.

Here is my .015 after inflation. :)
Stuck case remover - probably not if only loading pistol
Imperial sizing wax - see above.
Case gauges - nice to have, but you can use your barrel REMOVED from your pistol just as well. For rifle you can just drop it in the chamber and see if it fits. I do find the case gauge to be quicker and safer(for me).
I do use Imperial with pistol, especially 9mm. Just a tiny dab about every 10 cases or so. It is not necessary, and I sometimes don't use it. A tin of this will last you many thousands of cases.

I went with the Lee version of your press (Mine was a turret one, though, that I took the advancing rod out of the moment I got it) and I haven't looked back yet!

It's a great experiment and the wife and I have been actually quite connecting over this little project.

Welome to a great hobby!!
I know there are a lot of people that will think I just wasted my money because everyone with a brain should start on a progressive press.
I too started in the 60s on a single stage press. And a few years ago I went to a more modern one. For about 6 months. Then I went back to my old one. It's easy, it's fast enough for me, and the hogs certainly don't know the difference. LOL

Congrats on the new setup. I started with a Lee kit and upgraded to RCBS when I could afford it. One minor item that will improve your reloading process greatly is a powder baffle. The powder measure is gravity fed and the charge can change with less weight on top. The powder baffle evens the weight out so you get a consistent charge all the way down to the bottom of the tube. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=493217

One thing I haven't seen mentioned that you will need if you do rifle loads is a case trimmer. Other than that looks like you have a good setup.

I bought the same kit awhile back and really enjoy it. The main things I have bought in the interim are manuals, dies (even dies for bullets I don't own but got on sale) and components.

Just tonight I loaded up 50, 45 long colts and 100, 45-70's...all during commercial breaks while watching 3:10 to Yuma. And I took my time and enjoyed it.

I mounted my powder dispenser on a 2x4 cut at an angle and screwed to a 2x6...that way I can move it around depending on my setup.

How do I figure out over all length? I just mesured some Federal AE and went off of that. What's the right way to do it?
Your manual will list the OAL for the bullet they are using. It will depend upon the bullet profile. All calibers will have a MAX OAL set by SAAMI. You can use the MAX OAL or go a little deeper but remember, if you are seating the bullet deeper than called for in the recipe you might raise the pressures.

Welcome to a great hobby. I've been reloading since 1974. Like many here, you may find you like reloading as much or more than shooting.

Welcome to a new dimension of a great hobby. While I went with Lee instead of RCBS, you got a good kit. And I'm with the others who affirm your single-stage starting point. I use a Lee turret, but use it like a single-stage. Like Nushif, I pulled the auto-indexing rod out of mine. And since then, I also picked up a used Lee Classic Cast single-stage to use along side it.

All I can say is, wish I had started years ago!
