So, got a great deal on some 139gr SST's in .284 from Jake over at RMR.
All good so far, right ?
The Mrs. would prefer to give rl19 a swing first. I concur as it worked well in the 145's, and we have plenty of it.
Yep, sounds good again, .....sort of.
Well, here's the hitch :
I have tons of load data using 7mm-08 for 130's and under. 145's and up.
Nothin in the middle.
First step : call Hornady.
Wait 27 mins.
Surprise ! They have no load data. They give me the number to Alliant.
Surprise ! They have none either.
So.....
Here's the assumptive easy question :
139gr Hornady SST
Rl 19
CCI Large Rifle Primers
Anyone got some loading vodou that I don't ?
YA.. I could buy more powder, sure.
I'm not particularly inclined to unless I have to.
*Gently kick/taps box of RL19 containers*
It would be so easy to start at 47grs, and go from there.
I'm not especially excited about testing things no one has done before.... But I guess I'd do it if I have to.
