aarondhgraham, do those whiners complain about Pistol Pete?
No, they don't.It proves the old adage -- only violent criminals oppose other people having guns.
CC stands for community college. So it's a real community college. They aren't claiming to be a bachelor's granting college. They fill a niche.SSCC isn't a "real" college. The highest degree is an Associates ("earn your degree in 18 months"). Most programs are lower level training - truck driving, even a GED prep course. Now there is nothing wrong with an Assocites, driving a truck, or earning a GED. But I think it's a stretch to call this institution a college. The scariest thing I saw was that the have a criminal justice program...

Yes. Most believe media lies that AR 15s are extra dangerous when in fact they are less so than most centerfire rifles. Education helps a bunch. No, they don't.
Whether you want to believe it or not, many of the antis do in fact believe that they are doing the right thing. Most of them are NOT "violent criminals".
Cooperation and understanding is the only way to make this situation better for us. Not demonization of the other side.

First of all, they do. They push policies that help the criminals and hurt the honest people. No, they don't.

Having been an adjunct myself and currently being a tenured faculty member at a school that hires lots of adjuncts, I can tell you that getting rid of a troublesome adjunct is the easiest thing in the world. You don't even have to fire them. You just have to say "Sorry, we don't have any classes for you this semester." That's one reason the colleges love to hire them. They're the day-laborers of the academic world. Contrary to popular opinion, tenured positions are pretty hard to come by in this economy. He doesn't have tenure and isn't eligible to earn it, and many schools don't list adjunct as faculty on their website.
