I'm just having some indigestion this morning over the Bush/Blair press conference. Bush is quoted as saying he's sorry he used the phrase, "bring it on."

"I think in certain parts of the world it was misinterpreted," Bush said, adding that he has learned how to express himself in a more "sophisticated" manner.

Well, I thought it was pretty stupid when he said that line, but can you think of anything more stupid than going in front of the whole damn world and APOLOGIZING FOR IT? Oh, my head reels. Talk about encouraging the enemy. I don't EVER again want to hear anyone saying the war opposition is encouraging the enemy.

Al Franken does a hilarious shtick where does Bush as Bob Hope/Woody Allen trying to back out of a stupid mess he's gotten himself into. You just can't parody these idiots.

Look on the bright side - at least he is learning to admit mistakes. That is a big step forward from denial, staying the course, and flipping off critics.

What I want to know is why we have to have a president go through puberty while in office. Couldn't we have somebody already adult? Oh, and don't you dare mention the K-word. You could have nipped that imbecile in the primaries.

The war opposition is encouraging the enemy. How much more obvious could it be? ...not that it has anything to do with THR topics.

This is particularly cute, because George Bush can't even correct himself without being bashed for it, never mind that his original remarks were severely criticized.

Presidents are human beings, until we elect a true automaton into office we will continue to have fallible leaders.
My vote would be for a robot if one ever ran, assuming it has been programmed to my liking.

More sophisticated = "I'm a globalist with socialist policies, too!"

IMHO, Bush just told the world that his WOT is a farce and that he won't offend any future buisness partners or fellow globalists.

The whole speech made me :barf: ....

At this point, the only way he could correct himself would be to get our troops out of the quagmire he got them into and then resigning in disgrace. Going in front of the world and saying, in essence, "I really didn't mean it," leaves them in a worse position in the same bad place.

When this thing first started, I said we needed to finish it, as stupid as it was. I am now convinced that is not going to happen and we just need to get out.

And some human beings are bigger idiots and crooks than others. It's best not to elect them to high office.

I remember lefties calling for Bush to admit fault and ampologize so many times for so many things. Now that he does just that he is flamed for it. I guess Bush is just damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. There are those people out there that are so anti-Bush that they are just going to oppose anything Bush says or does regardless of what it is.

This isn't gun or 2nd Amendment related. It's just another excuse for Bush bashing. Where are the mods on this one?

You should try being the President of the United States of America and not say something, someway, that someone is going to slam you for!!!:cuss:

Must be hard being a Bush fan and having such thin skin.
I would have thought that after 6 years of watching him destroy his party, the country and whatever else he touches that people would no longer be offended when presented with arguments regarding his incompetence.
But, blind faith always suprises me.

You should be happy that Bush apologized. We could have elected Cheney instead. I guarantee that he wouldn't apologize for anything. Including shooting you in the face... now it's gun related.

Right here, having just noticed this one. Remember that we won't notice things immediately . . . that's what the "Report this post to a moderator" button - the little

Bye-bye.
