I have a new-old-stock Don Hume H900 for my 19-3, and I believe it's made with a full 2" wide duty belt in mind. I wear a 1.5" Lenwood Leather Hybrid, but it allwos the holster to cant forward quite a bit when rocking the gun forward to free it from the retention tab.

I picture a small leather gadget to solve this, perhaps a folded and stitched piece inside the belt loop to fill the extra 1/2" of depth. Does anyone remember such a thing from the days of leather duty gear? I can't be the first to have thought of it, and I'd be interested in learning about previous solutions before inventing from scratch.

You may be the only one to think of it. I started my career with revolvers and duty holsters like the one shown. They are for the standard uniform equipment duty belt. Anything less in width would need something I would think.

You might be the first to consider it a problem that needed to be addressed.

The holster, like most duty holster meant to be worn on a Sam Brown duty belt, is manufactured with a 1.75" belt loop to fit the standard 1.75" duty belt.

If you don't want it to rock on the belt, the usual "fix" would be to buy a 1.75" belt

RC:
Cut a thick piece (or double thickness of thinner leather) to fill the gap.

Then punch two holes in the filler & holster belt loop and sew, or attach with Chicago screws on each end.

That's about what I was picturing, but I hadn't arrived at the Chicago screws. OTOH, the screw bases might make contact with the frame inside the holster. . .

Thanks for the input guys.

Don't go through the holster.

Just through the belt loop and spacer.

Once in place there will be no room for the belt to slide down past it.
