Hi all, great site. Been looking for info on this and another gun for sometime with no luck. On the side of the gun it says (W.R. Bush). Hope someone can ID and have some knowledge of this gun. Thanks

Hi Jim, thanks for the responce. Here is some more info. Yes the forend is missing. On the top of the gun in between the barrles it says "London Fine Twist". I've also included another pic of the underside of the gun where the forend would have been.

As jimmy found, proofmarks are British, but I could google nothing on W.R. Bush. He may have been a small maker or more likely a distributor or even dealer who had commodity guns marked with his name.

Yours not only lacks the foreend and foreeend iron, the retaining lug has been pulled out of the bottom rib; apparently after an old solder repair from the first time it broke off. Resale value is nil unless somebody needed a set of back action locks.

I gotta tell ya's, you guys are awesome. I had given up a long time ago trying to find info on grandads old shotguns and in a matter of a couple of days I have a whole lot more to go on. Really glad I found this site. Thanks for the web link jimmy, excelent site. The value of these guns is something fun to know but the back ground and history is what is of real value to me. I plan on handing down these guns to my son someday and I would hope he hands them down to his. Thank you to the both of you for the information that you have both provided.
