ok,checking the pattern is not funning job, forgot about it. Actually I don't really care my which part of the game my shotgun shoot
I respectfully disagree.
1. THR, TFL and sister sites are about Responsible Firearm Ownership,
2. Patterning / Shooting Slugs for Groups is something a responsible owner of a shotgun does.
a. See
Ethics :

b. Repsonsible Firearm Owner encompasses a LOT of things, Ethics, and extending to Hunting Ethics means taking game humanly.
c. We educate ourselves about the firearm and in this case a shotgun. We learn all about the shotgun. We train our brains, we get training, lessons, and allow ourselves to be mentored.
We get a new shotgun, or take up a new type of clay game, hunting or serious use of a shotgun - we again learn all about this new shotgun,we patteren/ shoot for groups, learn the new uses, features of the shotgun, about the clay game, the hunting game, or serious use applications.
d. Safety is a HUGE factor in all of this.
A firearm / shotgun is designed to shoot certain ammo. This protects users of the firearm/ shotgun and any bystanders.
Hunting, may mean using the shotgun in a serious manner, perhaps a rabid dog is coming after a another dog, another hunter, a kid on that hunt. Patterning/ Shooting for groups , knowing that gun, training now takes on a more serious tone.
Serious Situations : Again, the abilty to fell a target quickly to stop an immediate threat is something the pattern board shows one in pellet pattern, or groups. Training the brain comes first, the knowing of a certain loading does in a particular firearm/ shotgun is very important.
I have retreived a finger off the ground that belonged to a person who did not think it important enough to read his instruction manual, to learn from a mentor, ask questions, get lessons, or listen to anyone. Plastic surgery did a nice job on his face, a little more and he very well could have lost an eye.
I have as much fun around here as anyone.
I am dead serious about folks being safe, dead serious in educating MYSELF and it is MY Responsiblity to share my experiences , observations and training with others.
I will walk away from a AntiGunner.
I will continue to assist someone that shows genuine interest, puts in the effort, does some research and self education in learning about Responsible Firearm Ownership.
Including, sharing about something I know, have experiences with, and have some training in.
Now I have walked away from shooters.
Some I did not agree with Politics.
Unethical Hunters.
Disregard for Safety.
Yep sure have and will continue to. My life, my time. There are too many folks I can pass forward to that want to learn. It is MY responsibilty to give these folks that really want anything I may be able to share, my time.
I will not waste my time on those whom are not Responsible - Too many out there I can pass forward too that want to be Responsible.
No disrespect, not directed at anyone. Just my perspectives on how all this plays out.
