Not only is it not "new" news, it's been posted and closed here at least once.

And no, it's not "brainwashing" by the left. It's mental illness, or pure disregard for human life. Believe it or not, awful things happen all on their own, without some shadowy manipulation by a shadowy force bent on restricting our rights. To suggest as much is foolish and not at all intelligent.

So can we please stop posting every single news article that features gun violence?

This case has nothing to teach us, except that tragedy can occur anywhere.

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of people used guns in a safe, responsible, and legal manner - to target shoot, defend life, teach others to safely handle firearms, and to hunt.

How about posting some of that for a change?

Sorry, Ron, but you don't get to tell me what I can or can't comment to. It's a fact that this topic has come up at least once before in recent weeks, and been locked due to it not being relevant to THR.

We're here to teach, not to post tragic stories about loonies murdering their parents. And we're certainly not here to post such things with the speculation that the events are somehow being orchestrated by some sinister group.

It's silly, and not productive at all.

It wasn't so much about the story, but your comment at the top that is the issue with me.

This is a sad case that is likely has mental illness as a major factor. It really doesn't have much to do with the RKBA other then in how you tried to tie it in. I don't see why you would joke around with such a story so I am really thinking you believe what you said. If you really believe what you said then you might need to seek help.

I have heard these stories. Same thing goes for Grand Theft Auto games. You cant make someone do something like posted above, they are predisposed to it to start with. When I was a kid I played with toy guns all the time. Me and my friends played army, running through the neighborhood, ambushing and killing each other all day. To this day I have only pointed a real gun at a person twice, both of which were in self defense, in my home. Both times I would have been justified in pulling the trigger and didnt. I dont think games make people violent. I think poor parenting and mental illness do.
