ArchAngelCD;

It was recently pointed out to me, by another member, that you may be living in a jusidiction that prohibits minors from accessing gun sites. I do apologize, I hadn't thought of that.

Therefore do locate a responsible adult & have that person do the search of the major on-line firearms sales points for you. I'm sure the information is readily available.

Cheers, 900F

Where I live, VA, the shops are relatively HIGH on new. Used is the way to go. I bought an old Savage 22 at a local shop recently, and it kept misfiring. They tried to fix it, but the problem persisted. They took it back, and credited me, so I picked up a used Marlin that is pretty nice. I spent MORE than at a show, or maybe a pawn shop, but they stood by their sale - one nice feature about SOME local shops.

I'd have paid MORE on line for the Savage, and about the same for the Marlin. I have seen good deals on line, but not often.

That's not a bad price, CoRoMo, but I got my new LCP from an on-line retailer for $175.66, paid $15 shipping and $5 transfer.

Guess you should have shopped some more of those "Major retailers" before you started bragging.

And no, I won't share where I got it.

Sometimes the deals can be had in person. Other times its online. I find when it comes to the used market I really get a better feel of a firearm in person, even if it isn't as cheap as can be found on a gunbroker type site. It does seem that unless there is some big sale locally the internet has the better deals. Not always but for the most part it seems that way. Good pickup.

I've compared my on-line to local buys and it equals out by a few dollars. I pay out $25 to $65 dollars just in taxes in PA as well as a $5 PICS.
