Well, if anyone remembers my old SHOT show thread from last year ( http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=499197 ).

Yeah I kinda sprung that on you guys last minute. You see, I didn't know until close to that time that I would have the time to wander the show and find these booths.

Well, this year the company I work for is not an exhibitor, so whenever I'm not actually talking to customers and suppliers as part of my job, I'll basically have free time to do... more or less whatever I want.

Same rules as last time. If you want me to relay a question or find something out:

1. Find the exhibitor on this list: http://shot11.mapyourshow.com/3_0/search.cfm?let=@

2. Post the company name and Booth # in a reply to this thread (not PMs!), and post specifically what you want to find out, or what questions you'd want me to ask.

Lastly, since I'm starting the question-gathering process a lot earlier this year, KEEP DISCUSSION TO A BARE MINIMUM.

(EDITED TO ADD) I will most likely upload a Vlog of my SHOT show experience, including your questions, and create a new thread where I'll post links.

What ever happened to the 5-10-15 PMags for 5.56mm announced at last year's SHOT show?

SHOT show trip is only a weekend away for me now. Back to top if anyone wants me to try and find out anything new.

I'm almost positive that I'll post answers in the form of a link to a V-log this time.

Crimson Trace - 16733

Advise CT that there is a need for laser grips in all back strap sizes for the M&P series.

When I bought my M&P40 I was unable to use the CT grips as I need the smaller size backstrap. I had my dealer install a Laserlyte RL-MP which I don't like nearly as much but it seems I have very few alternatives.

Tnx,
Jerry

Taurus Firearms Booth Number 14240, is the 732 TCP (the .32 cal version) vaporware, or are there production problems? They were announced at last years shot show but don't really seem to be available. (And if they are a reality how much do they weigh as compared to the .380 version).

Thanks.

Marlin 14229

i hope i'm not too late for a request. there is a very interesting thread in the rifle forum re: Marlin hopefully chambering a 94 in the Federal 327 cartrige.
it would be nice if you could ask someone about the possibility of that happening.

have fun.

Oh I'm still taking requests all the way through the end of the show. Can't guarantee I'll get to all of them, but I won't have to attend to a booth this year, so I'll have (hopefully) a lot of free time.

Go by the Ruger section and inquire about making a Super Black Hawk with a 5"-5.5" barrel. They don't offer anything in between the snubnose Alaskan and 7.5" SBH. The regular Black Hawk is available but not the SBH.

Moreover, (in a polite and serious manner) make an inquiry with Smith&Wesson about realistically offering more models without the ILS. It could only help their sales and make customers happy. They will probably be dismissive but let them know it is serious question. Find out how many units it would require to do a "distributitor exclusive" of a gun in order to have it available without the ILS. Then tell the people at your distributors that they'd do a run of them if they ordered "X" amount. Guaranteed the first distributor to do it will have NO PROBLEM selling them.

Remind the Colt people they only MANUFACTURED the 1911. The 100year celebration is REALLY in honor of John Browning and his design. (They seem to forget.)

Visit the Hi-Point booth. They will be lonely and appreciate the company. (j/k)

If you only have time for one, please do the S&W thing.

+1

I will not buy a new S&W until the locks are removed.

I also heard a rumor that colt is brining back the python. Could you look into that as well?Colt's Manufacturing Company, LLC Booth:12529

so is this the place wheer the moderator said they will post photos from the shot show? they said last week it would have its own place so everyone can read and see photos from the moderators. must be going up soon.

There's a SW Judge clone, called the Governor reported already. And Taurus has a 28 gauge Judge. Anyone see those?

Once we are at the show and have pictures we will start new threads in the show subforum.

Kimber 11762 and Sig Sauer Inc 12240

Kimber 11762 and Sig Sauer Inc 12240

Kimber is introducing the SOLO carry micro 9, and Sig Sauer is releasing the P290 micro 9. I'd be very interested what you thoughts are of the two, and how they compare for CCW.

I've read the stats on both, but I'd love to get feedback from someone who could actually handle both (if not side by side, at least within a relatively close space).

You might as well make your way to the kel-tec booth and see if ya can fondle that new whiz bang shotgun they are suppose to make (KSG).

Glock 12251 & Keltec 7506/16747

Glock: A single stack compact 9mm.

Keltec: A 22 LR version of the pmr 30

Hmm I went through the list...no CZ?? Thanks for doing this for all of us who can not be there.

Regarding Sig p290, when will it be available?
