Today at work I found a co-worker that shoots a lot but doesn't reload. I asked what he does with his brass and he told me they have saved it for many years but didn't really know why. Just couldn't throw it way I guess. When I asked his son if he would sale any of it, he said he probably would since he knows me from work so I want to make him a fair offer for any that he decides to get rid of.

What would be a good price for 9mm, 45acp, and .223 brass? Say in 500 pc. lots of ea. It seems to be all once fired pick-ups from his home range. I have checked around the internet to get a feeling for what it is selling for but the prices seem to jump all over and I want to make sure I give him a good price.

Thanks.

I have been buying 45acp brass from a member here for $62.00 a thousand plus shipping. It's top quality brass. Don't know about .223 or 9mm.

I also had a gent tell me he had a couple 500 pc. bags of cleaned/ sized/ primed 9mm brass and to make him an offer. Any suggestions?

5 cent a piece. 3 cent a primer and 2 cent a case. $25/500.

Op- in my experience:

9mm- $20-25/k
45acp-$50-65/k
223-$50-70/k

these are online buy/sell armslist prices. Id offer either 1.25-1.5x scrap value or 2/3 the prices mentioned above
