How is this movie? What kind of guns are featured? Is the gunplay accurate, or at least fairly accurate?

I was thinking about buying the DVD. I already have the El Mariachi and Desperado DVDs.

The gunplay is 12 year old boy fantasy crap. Shotgun blasts from behind the back without aiming blow off kneecaps. Revolver blasts send guys arcing through the air 15 feet. Nobody aims, and only doublebarrel shotguns need reloading.

I'm a big fan of Desperado and a big fan of Johnny Depp and I was not a fan of this movie. It was easily tolerable and I probably own 200 DVDs but I don't see myself buying this one.

Gunplay was about the same as Desperado. Pretty much what I expected, I thought it was alright, and didnt get mad about spending the 3 bucks to rent it, but I cant see myself buying the DVD. Like bogie said, its a popcorn flick, plain and simple.

Mariachi just threw the empty guns away, its easier to just shoot the BG and grab his peice when he flys by rather than reload...

I enjoyed Desperado, at least until the missile-shooting guitar cases came out, but Once Upon A Time In Mexico was awful.

The gunplay was cartoonish....but that should be expected. Semi-nice variety. Much like Pirates, Depp stole the scenes he was in.

Eva Mendez has nice guns. :D

It was hysterical! I laughed so hard at some scenes my partner was "shushing" me. The huge can supressor on the snubby revolver (featured prominently in close-up several times) had my sides splitting.

Very funny movie - a little Monty Python, a little Keystone Kops, a little Benny Hill, add lots of absurd action and guns, stir in insanity - voila! A comic tour de force.

Please don't tell me that you you feel the gunplay was even close to fairly accurate in Desperado and El Mariachi!

I saw this movie on a plane. It was worth exactly what I paid for it. I noticed that the gunplay was unrealistic, but its hard to say exactly what guns were featured on a 5' screen. :)
