I got the Criterion Collection version of The Rock on DVD for Christmas. As you home theater buffs will know, this is a special edition 2-disc set with lots of extras. On disc 2 are two short features: "On the Range with Navy SEALs" and "The Do's and Dont's of Hollywood Gunplay"
The first shows a group of current and former SEALs conducting firearms training at a Gunsite/TR/etc-type school. The opening title of the segment says: "Ex-Navy SEAL Harry Humphries' company, Global Studies Group, Inc., employs former and active Navy SEALs to instruct novices and professionals in proper gun handling. He invited us to tape a typical class on December 18, 1996". There are also interviews with two active SEALs who were in the movie.
The second part is Humphries and actor Marshall Teague demonstrating typical hollywood screw ups with guns (gangster-style shooting, entering rooms, etc) compared with the proper way to handle firearms.
Overall, there's nothing earth-shattering in the features (total time for both is only about 15 minutes), but its refreshing to see something like this on anything that comes out of Hollywood.
