Those old thin-barrel Mini-14s have a reputation as being inaccurate
....
I hope you figure out the problem, or at least a way to work around it.

Yes, I will stock only Silver Bear 62gr SP and Fed 64gr SP, both of which shoot OK in both rifles. If I reload for the T/C, it will be in that range, which is ideal for 9" and 10" twist. I don't see any point in reloading for the Mini-14 if the Russian stuff (with SP bullets) does the job at the range and in the field at 38 cents/rd.

Lotsa 55gr ammo to sell; will keep just a little for the T/C.
