This may result in the need to drop a class, so be gentle, and do it subtly...
You're likely to end up in a classroom or other situation where someone announces that "guns are bad," etc., etc. May be a teacher, may be a peer.
If it is a classroom situation and it's your teacher, decide if you really need the grade...
You ready?
Here's your question:
"Sir (or ma'am, as the case may be), as a self-defense expert, what do you recommend that a woman who is being attacked in a deserted area do to stop the attack?"
Now, in the best case scenario, you're gonna get immediate brain-freeze from your victim - deer in the headlights. They are NOT a self-defense expert, and they know it. Yet if they up and admit it, you can respond with "You just said that we didn't need guns, so I assumed that you knew what you were talking about. If you aren't qualified, why do you propose a limitation, etc., etc..."
If they take the bait, and offer up scream and fight as a solution, explain how that isn't much of an option for a 120 pound female in a deserted area - what do they really think she should do? If they offer up the tired car keys thing, ask why not a knife? And if they agree with a knife, ask why not a gun? If the suggest karate or kung fu, poll the group to see how many women in it are above white-belt standings...
Be gentle - object is to get them thinking that -maybe- the belief system under which they've been operating is flawed.
