Open carry in Minnesota

I open carry in MN sometimes, but I don't like the attention and questions it creates and prefer to carry concealed.

While legal anywhere concealed carry is legal, open carry lacks the public acceptance it may have in some other states and is likely to draw attention from law enforcement in most contexts.

Perfectly legal, and officially acknowledged by the BCA website.

Don't tell that to the cops that will hassle you though.

I open carry in minnesota quite a bit,the police are really good about it ,in north minnesota anyway.I do get some peoples attention but most know and dont mind ,however make sure you dont branish the gun and or fondle the gun to much in public or you'll get some of this:what:

yes, you can totally legally open carry if you possess the personal protection permit.

However, there are some places where the police have bluntly stated 'if we see you open carry, we will throw you in jail for distrubing the peace'

Supposedly one of those places is the State Fair. I've heard that pretty much any part of St Paul is that way as well.
