Minnesota bills to allow recognition of North Dakota permits

I saw this on another site and I thought I pass it along. That other site said that Minnesota's reciprocity isn't that good. If that's the case, perhaps this might open up the door for other states.

Here is the bill from the Minnesota state government site.

https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bills/te...ber=SF2025&session_year=2014&session_number=0

"A bill for an act
1.2relating to public safety; amending the Minnesota Personal Protection Act
1.3to recognize the North Dakota permit to carry a pistol as being valid within
1.4Minnesota;amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 624.714, subdivision 16.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:"

There is also a general description from NRAILA at

.

Would be nice if they would recognize Iowa's as well... They're the only bordering state (not counting IL, they're always an asterisk anyway) that doesn't.

From what I know Minnesota is the one that started the fight with North Dakota. I sure wish they would pass this bill, because North Dakota won't allow Minnesota residents to obtain permits because Minnesota doesn't acknowledge theirs.
