I might be going for vacation to NC in the Outer Banks / Nags Head area. My parents regularly rent a house there, and wife and I want to join them this year.

So, I'm a FL resident with FL CWP.

Can I OC in NC?
What are the off limit places for CCW and OC ?

Thanks!

Open carry while hunting, target shooting is generally accepted.
Open or concealed carry is prohibited at any political demonstrations, funereal processions, picket line, parade, public event where alcohol is served, establishments where alcohol is served, grounds of the state capitol, executive mansion, or any building of the NC Courts, schools(including universities),financial institutions, assemblies and establishments where admission is charged. Also LE and correctional facilities, and places where no gun carry signs are prominently posted or displayed.
State Parks,WMA's,State/National Forest are also off limits. Also you must notify LE that you are carrying upon a vehicle stop.Roadside rests are OK to carry.
Besides that you're cool.

financial institutions are not OC prohibited, only CC prohibited... all of the other places you listed are correct though

Thank you,mekender for that correction.
Vacationing 2 times a year in Blowing Rock and Murphy,NC is a tough row to hoe.

Remember that MOST of the NC Outer Banks is a National wildlife refuge, and in being so, it is unlawful to possess a weapon is those areas.
