Opening morning Eastern Plains Elk

Sorry for the worlds worst picture!
I guided a buddy this morning. We were excited to watch 12 bulls sparring. None were up to his trophy standards but it was a heck of show anyhow.

Anyway I’m off to bear camp this afternoon so it’s going to be a long day. I just wanted to share a great opening morning for hunting season 2021 with everyone.

And just FYI that photo is from an iPhone 12 at 380 ish yards so not bad for a cell phone camera.

Time to pack up and head off to bear country! More elk, deer, and pronghorn reports follow.
