Anyone have any opinions on the PX4 Subcompact 9mm from a user/owner perspective? Anyone used one of these? Carried one? How do they compare to others such as Glock 26/27 and Subcompact XD?
I had 3 XD subcompacts (2 black, 1OD), 2 Glock 26s (1 black,1 OD) and one PX4 subcompact. I no longer own the XDs and I'm barely holding on to my ODG26.
IMO, the PX4sc has the best grip of the 3 which includes texture and angle. The 26 grip may be a little shorter but that's because there is an extra 3 rounds in the PX4. The XDsc has always just been a tad too fat for IWB carry compared to many other guns out there. That being said, the PX4sc is not a slim gun but conceals better than the XDsc yet not as well as the G26. I think the Glock grip hump and the tall thick slide of the XD kinda makes the PX4sc a happy medium for me. I added some "Stealth" decocking only levers and carry it in a CBST holster.
Don't forget you now have a choice of going middle-ground with the newly released Px4 Compact 9mm w/rotating barrel and from all reports thus far the owners say it is the softest shooting 9mm they've ever shot including reports of those that own the Px4 Sc compact w/tilt up barrel action, as well.
