Opinions on Franken Sig 229 please

I just received an SAS 229 in .357 sig. The trigger is not as good as one I tried on an SAS239. The barrel seemed a bit worn as well. It is a borderline as far as trying to send it back to the Gun Broker vendor. I've not yet had a chance to shoot it.

Got to thinking that I don't mind the heavier DA first pull for safety on my older 229. I do like the SAS feel Sig put on the slide, and it does feel better for IWB.

The following pics are the two side by side. The last pic is the barrel and slide off the SAS on what I think I can live with. Is there a reason not to try and shoot the new Franken Sig? Seems to be ok so far.

I carry a Sig 229 in 357 Sig. I think your piece will be perfect for CCW. It has been dehorned so it will be comfortable, and you'll be shocked at how flat shooting this round is. This is the first semi auto bullet that WILL make that 50 meter shot if you ever have to.
Shoot it, in fact shoot the hell out of it.

I first shot .357 Sig about 10 years ago

and loved it! All my autos are in .357 Sig, all the 40's grew up to be P220's.

Try a Wolff 18lb hammer spring. That should sweeten up your trigger real nice
Make sure you put at least 200-300 rounds through it before you CCW it to make sure you don't get light primer strikes.

I did the same thing to my P220 Carry SAS. Never warmed up to the DAK so I switched it to TDA. I like this set up. Great for IWB.
