I need Opinions on a Winchester 1000x Pellet Rifle in .177 cal. This maybe in the wrong spot since it is not technically a firearm but it is a rifle. Either way.Are these accurate at all? What about durability? Any opinion would be great.

Thanks

It must have been back on TFL, but I remember reading they were good guns for the price. Might be some info if you do a search here, but I'm pretty sure they were talked about back on TFL.

They're manufactured by Daisy under the winchester name. I handled a few, but ultimately chose a gamo 220 hunter instead. It seemed to be made a little better, has nice sights. The winchester doesn't seem to be a bad rifle by any means and the cost is alot nicer.
Hopefully someone can chime in that has some more experience with them.

I have the 850 FPS model. First day it got knocked over and the windage knob broke off. No biggie, I put a peep sight on it so I could practice for Service Rifle. Trigger pull was awful. Pulled the action out of the stock, cleaned up the sear, and put in a dollop of grease. After about 750 rounds, the pull is at least smooth, but creepy to the point of feeling like a 2-stage trigger.

Besides the above, it is a good value for the money. Lots of power and acceptable accuracy.

Get one of the air rifles CZ makes. Can be found on the net for about $80. Nice wood stock, adjustable trigger, very accurate.

Search for the model "Slavia 631".

EXCELLENT guns, like CZs usually are.

The guns are made in Turkey, IIRC.

Trigger is bad and can't be easily fixed.
