In my humble opinion Springfield's biggest problem is not supplying replacement parts to end users. My Department gave them their pistols right back to them when they found this out. Springfield doesn't really make anything they are just importers from Brazil and Croatia and are not really affiliated with the Original Springfield from MA in anyway. This is according to Cindy and Dave Williams at their custom shop. After a few trips back to Illinois, Cindy finally sent me a refund check for my full purchase price on one of their imports. That did it for me. Once burned, twice shy!

My first handgun was the recent purchase of a XD-40 Sub in bitone. I've got a few hundred rounds through it and love the thing. It's a bit bulky to conceal, in my opinion, but I do carry it occassionally. Like others have said, they are accurate, reliable, well-built and extremely easy to disassemble and clean.
