I have a blackhawk .45caliber with the .45 acp, & .45 colt cylinders, 4 5/8" barrel. If you look arond you may be able to find a used one, mine was used but unfired and ran about $325.

I removed one leg of the trigger return spring from its post, and the trigger improved 50%:)
I put Hogue pearl grips on it and it looks great.
Its very accurate at 25 yards with my lead bullet .45 acp loads, the same with the colt loads. The cylinder throats in the acp cylinder did need a little polishing with some FMJ.

You can find .45 acp +p loads in various bullet styles, I have loaded some 185 gr XTPs at 1080 fps.

It has the advantage of Reasonable priced practice ammo in .45 acp like CCI blazer.

The 2.75-inch Security-Six also is a fantastic choice. You'd have to pick one up to know what I'm talking about!

Funny you should mention that....I just did :D (well, it's a Speed Six. Is that close enough?)

Guess I'll get to mull over the Single-Action options a bit more while I rebuild my gun-buying budget.
