Had my heart set on buying a Colt Python. But since SB 489 passed I feel like buying an auto loader now. I really like the look of the Kahr T9 but that's all I really know, that I like the look of it. Anyone have opinions on the T9 shooting wise, saw the one range report, want to know if anyone else has anything to say? Is this gun meant to be a competition/target gun? It would be my third handgun, currently have a Ruger Slabside 22 and a full size stainless Kimber Target. Thanks for the info.

For a large 9mm, a Browning HiPower would be my choice. Otherwise, dig up a good Colt 9mm Government Model and have it gone over a bit by Jim Hoag in Canoga Park (Hi-ride grip safety, high-vis sights, trigger job, match bbl. bushing and re-crown the bbl.)

The only Kahr pistol worth having, in my book, is the PM-9. Smaller than a PPK, and lighter, too.

Well after owning them for years Id say any Kahr is worth having. :D
The T comes in Tactical and Target...I take it your speaking of the target.
Now this is a little weird from a gun company that is pretty devoted to CCW weapons...but mind you they are accurate enough for this type of shooting.
The Tactical is on my wish list and will be in my safe someday soon.
I make holsters for Kahrs and do alot of them for the CCW crowd.
IMO, they are up there with Sig, Hk and the rest of the best of the best.

Get one...........Shoot well.

I agree with PCRCCW, these are very accurate and reliable guns. I have a k40, mk9, my wife has a k9 and they are all great. A friend just got a T9 tactical and it seems every bit as good as mine have been. Get one and let us know how it shoots!.....tom

Unless you must have a Kahr consider a SIG P239. They are amazingly accurate, reliable, easy to take down and quite compact. It does have an aluminum alloy frame but it seems to hold up very well. I think they are a little less expensive than the high end models of the Kahr line.

If you don't mind a larger pistol the SIG P226ST is outstanding. You can get the P226ST in 9mm or .40S&W/.357SIG. Some people get BarSto 9mm barrels for their P226ST .357SIGs.

The S&W Performance Center 952 9mm is a great range pistol. However, the S&W PC 952 already has a magazine disconnect and loaded chamber indicator. So there may not be a reason to get one now.

One really enjoyable pistol is my Glock 35 with a KKM .357SIG drop in barrel. It is amazingly accurate and has been 100% reliable. I use a G31 magazine. I like it so much I'm thinking of getting a KKM 9mm barrel for my G34. A nice thing about KKM barrels, they clean out really easily.

Good luck,
Rich
ps I have a Colt Python. It is beautiful, but Pythons go out of timing relatively easily if you shoot .357Mags. The timing isn't bothered nearly as much if you shoot light loaded .38 Specials.
