optimal pressure range

i know many rifle powders have an optimal pressure range, where they burn the cleanest / best. but i find no such data on the web, or in manuals. is there such a compilation? or is that a "secret" kept by each manufacturer? i know 99.9% of us could never actually measure what kinds of pressure each load makes. but with the data that is available, it could help us to decide which powders could best suit our needs.

It's not a secret. Powders burn in the upper pressure ranges of the cartridges they are intended for, that being the SAAMI pressure limits. Your loading book's upper limit charges for most cartridges are in that range.
