Optimal Size for Rifle Plates?

Point blank offers 8x8 plates, Second Chance 5x7 and 8x10 and US Armor 6x8 for their concealable vests.

What is the optimal size for plates on a concealable vest? I'm looking for Level III plates on a Level II vest. Concealability of vest while in conjunction with rifle plates is not a concern.

If concealability is not a concern, get the largest plate that will fit your vest.

No seriously, cut cardboard out and stuff your vest. See if the larger sizes inhibit your movements. Having the plate dig into your belly when you sit isn't the pinnacle of a good time.
