Options for inexpensive rifle and pistol lasers

I'm familiar with lasermax ($300) and crimson trace ($250) but are there less expensive alternatives?

Lots of options, all the way down to a $30 BSA laser. Is it for plinking or more serious use?

The problem with weapon mounted lasers (and any other electronics) is durability. Every time the gun fires, every single conductive joint gets strained.

You could probably figure out how to mount a 10 dollar laser pointer from Staples, but there's no guarantee it'll last more than a few shots.
