the meeting was at Portland City Hall. The KGW news report screwed up the playback, so I didn't get to hear it, however, I did hear:
Police Chief Derek Foxworth and Multnomah County Sheriff Bernie Guisto were the ones saying that "assault weapons have no legitimate sporting purpose... blah blah blah." (screen then froze). Bernie Guisto is the sheriff who won't sign off on Class III applications, period.
They're using the same old, tired language used by all the anti's and it's really starting to piss me off.
Both the Portland Police Bureau and Multnomah County Sheriff's office will be getting Certified Mail from me.
Wish I could have seen the whole report. During commercial before the story, I talked with friend who said that Portland City Commissioner Jim Francesconi started this nonsense. He wants to be Mayor of Portland. He's getting a letter, too, and won't be getting my vote. It's time for this clown to get off the public dole and go back to work as an ambulance chasing attorney with no class, who advertised his services on Television before going into public office.
