Oregon shooters I need directions to the dump

Hi all,

My shootin' grand daughter is up from CA and I want to take her shooting on Tuesday. As we will probably shoot short and long guns I want to go outdoors.

I need directions to the dump up the Clackamas river. We will probably be there about 11:30 or so.

She has only shot my 22/45 before and has expressed a desire to shoot something bigger. I will start her off with the .22 and then move to my Makarov, if she likes that we will go on to bigger and better. I am thinking of taking my 2" windicator with .38 spcl and I always have my Ruger P90.

For long guns I have a single shot .410 and several 12 guage shotguns. I might take the trap and some clay along. I will be leaving the .30-06 at home. Might as well save something for the future.

I'm not sure where you're coming from, but you're going to need to take the 212/224 exit off I-205, head out the 224 fork through Estacada, I believe it's just off 224 on the left after you pass the last of the steel bridges over the Clackamas.

If you get to Madras, you went too far

Take 224 past estecada, just about 10-12 miles or so. It's almost exactly 2 miles past Memaloose Bridge, and it will be on your left.

If you think you found it, just look on the ground for the 1,000,000,000 pieces of brass. If you see that, than you are in the right spot.
