Why do those surveillance cameras always produce such horrible videos? As much as those systems cost, you'd expect better quality.

Anyway, good for the good guy! He must have seen or heard what was going on while he was outside in his car. This kind of stuff seems to happen a LOT in Florida. At least we hear about a lot of them.

Another customer disagrees with the law!!!! That is funny. I disagree with a lot of laws, so I guess I should just ignore them.

GOOD JOB CHRIS!!!

So ordinary, yet so deadly in a short time.

I believe that this is defense of someone's life. Good shoot.

My prayers are with Chris and with the Clerk.

Because the owners re-use the cheap tapes over and over again for long periods of time - in most cases until something like this happens. Only THEN do the spend the $2.00 for a new tape. Once you record over a tape a few times it gets really degraded.

The first thing I thought when I saw this was "get a new tape, PLEASE." The last thing I would want my legal life hanging by is an old piece of video tape.

I hate that he has to live with that now...

Yeah. Living with the memory of saving a guys life is hard.

CoRoMo:
That truly reads like you're making light of the fact that Chris took a life that day. Maybe you're someone who's immune to the dreadful act of life-taking, but some people take the whole idea of killing someone as a serious tragedy.

I'm not judge, jury nor God and I pray every day that I never have to do that. I can say that the LAST thing I would want is to come here and find some glib commentary if I did.

Since I come into contact with dead people all of the time in my line of work, I have become used to it. I am not sure that it would bother me.

For an extremely stressful situation Chris showed extraordinary presence of mind. Calling 911, actually raising his arm as the clerk came around the counter to keep her out of his line of fire, etc. Hats off to the guy. Hope he gets over the trauma soon.

"Good Work on the shooter's part. I hate that he has to live with that now but he did the right thing."

What does he have to "live with", that he saved somebody's life?

When this case was new, I thought the Clerk was a female?

The shooter originally was sat outside in his truck, heard the commotion while he was outside his truck, ran back for his pistol.

He could not have purchased that pistol if he had a felony conviction.

The clerk was being beaten with a full bottle, the hits on bad guy, first shot in the arm, second center chest.

Verbal commands are to stop impending actions, bullets are for stopping assaults in progress!

I bet the pucker factor of the responding local Police Officers would preclude toilet visits for about ten hours!

Yeah, I like CSI Miami, but I'm only willing to suspend disbelief so far. I may have to go back to spending my Monday evenings reading at this rate. I wish they would require that the writers know a little about the law in the state the show is based. It's probably written in California, and then the scripts are sent to the set in Miami.

Sadly, pretty much everything for CSI: Miami is shot in California. Hawthorn, CA, I believe. Also, many of the waterfront shots are filmed in Long Beach.

Orlando is a very dangerous area!!!

When I was in the area a little over a year back I watched the evening news on the tube....
Every night it was shooting, robbery, assault, drugs, rape, drive by.... and that was every evening!!! :what:
While at a C store pumping gas early one evening some 20 year old made a mad dash for my high end PU, but rapidly changed his mind real fast when he saw me go into the couch clearing my shirt with my hand on the HK...

when he saw me go into the couch clearing my shirt with my hand on the HK...

Having this legacy, a strange English sense of humor! When I read couch, above, instead of crouch... I had visions of you leaping in to a big piece of furniture in the bed of your PU!

I know, I should sleep longer! Is it not great being able to vacation with your carry permit here in Orlando?

Tip, do not fill up at 711s etc! Use the big Gas Company Stations, while here.
