The Orlando Sentinel, www.orlandosentinel.com , had a big front page news article about CC/concealed carry training and CC licenses in the state. The reporter wrote how "easy" it is for normal citizens in the sunshine state to "pack heat,". FL students are only required to fire 10 pistol or revolver rounds at a target on a range plus 4hrs of formal class training from a state licensed instructor(K, www.myflorida.com).
The reporter also said that South Carolina is one of the few US states that does not allow FL concealed carry licenses because of the "low" training standards :cuss:. As a US military veteran, I do not need to have formal state training to get a valid concealed carry license. I had mine for about 5.5yrs but rarely used it. I may get a new one later on but I'm in no big rush.

The print/TV media in central FL do big news stories every so often about guns or licenses. Most of the reporters are inept rubes who listen to every nutbag and gunshop commando they can find.
If the subject of firearms and safe training/use were not so important it would be a laugh.
