OSP will have a sporting clays shooting clinic at Oak Tree Gun Club soon. I just found out it's about 300 bucks!!! Yikes! Has anyone ever attended this by Gil and Vickie Ash? Is it worth it?
White Flyer,
Vicki and Gill Ash are very respected instructors in the shotgun world, and are know particulary for doing a great Job in there clinics with begining and intermediate sportingclays shooters. I would not hesitate to recommend them. There website is....
The Ash folks have good reps as teachers. They also did an appearance on "Pull!", the clay shooting show on OLN last year.
I believe they do some coaching for the Olympics.
$300 is a lot of money, until it's measured against hundreds of dropped targets, or an expensive search for The Magic Shotgun, when the problem is "Pilot Error"....

Not to mention the THOUSANDS of shells, hair pulled from your head in frustration, and just getting beaten every time out.....
I learned the hard way, it is not something I recommend!! If you can swing the money I say go for it. You could also get local instruction on the installment plan if you can find a good instructor.
