OTIS barrel Lifeliner?

Well, while looking for cleaning products online, on the OTIS website i saw something that I've never heard of before. whatever nano ceramic fusion is, it claims to coat the rifle barrel while extending barrel life, increase accuracy by up to 80%, increases used barrel velocity by up to 33%, and reconditions and protects the barrel.

The product is called Lifeliner and it adds a ceramic coating to the inside of the rifle barrel and costs about 80 USD.

When i saw this originally my BS alert went off, but OTIS is a reputable company with very good cleaning products IMO.

Does anyone have any experience with this product or know anything about it?

Not an expert opinion here, but it seems like it's really nothing more than very fine abrasives. Cue the onslaught of people who will tell you why that's a Bad Thing for a barrel. Dunno WTH Otis was thinking with this one, but it's definitely had my BS meter pegged.

I have had the literature for a while, since SHOT '07, just waiting for there to be some real product available. $80 is kind of high for snake oil, but I have a Savage takeoff barrel that I have target and chronograph data for. It would be a simple process to put it back on the rifle and try the stuff out.

I notice they have the usual "up to 33%" weasel words on velocity, but are claiming "Accuracy increases by 80%" period. Bold talk for a one-eyed fat man.

I stopped by the Otis booth to compliment them on their products I use and I was pounced on by the booth dude on how it's going to revolutionize the shooting industry single handed.

Apparently it's some sort of Russian invention that they are importing - the Otis guy said the Russians have been using it for decades.
He was trying to hard to make me believe in their new product.
