The flesh between my thumb and finger is SORE! I had to break in my 1911 today, and Now i know what hammer bite is. So, can someone recommend me a beavertail? One that's pretty good and doesnt require frame modifications. Thanks.

The boy's have a point - we do need to know exactly what gun you have.

But anyway, if this is the standard USGI configuration with the regular spur hammer, you can save a lot of time and bucks by simply slimming the back and underside of the hammer - expecially the cocking spur. On too many of today's so-called GI guns it is too thick, and that's the part that pinches your hand.

But if course if you want to spend money ....
