I've been doing some similar experimenting as I have far more SRP's than SPP's. So far in my M&P 9mms I've found that Federal #205M and CCI #400 both work 100% of the time but CCI BR4 have frequent light strikes and CCI #41 don't work in my pistols at all, but are 100% reliable in my AR.
Very happy to read this, as I have a brick of both CCI #400 and Federal #205M that I'm planning to try in 9mm. Was actually going to load them up this weekend. All my reading and research indicated this should work fine, but I'm happy to hear from someone who did exactly what I'm planning to do, lol.
Mind sharing what powder you used? I think I'll start with W231 .
Once again if you were close by I would gladly wasp you WSP for those CCI#400

A little test in 9MM with various primers, some of them rifle primers.I have a brick of both CCI #400 and Federal #205M that I'm planning to try in 9mm
Win 231 is great in 9mm at least it is in this M&P
Failure to Hit.... Stuff
That much huh. Most of mine were $.02 or so but I still bend over and pick them up. I will admit to tossing around 400 LPP I removed from old, mostly corroded military .06 ball, tracer and black tip. The brass and projectiles were fine, well worth the dime each I paid. Now I’m scrounging around until I find it. That’s a quarter now!
