Damn, I may have to consider blowing some tax refund money! This is me and my father's favorite Clint movie and we have always admired those pistols!

OMG, car is in the shop and I need to call and tell them to halt the repairs!

it had Clint Eastwood's autograph, I'd 2nd mortage the house!

Ummm..

"This gun is not one of the huge Colt "Walkers"

That looks awfully like a Dragoon

Josey Wales carried a pair of Walkers and a pair of 1860 Army.

In fact.. I don't remember a dragoon being in the movie at all.

Per the IMFDB, RedLeg carried a 1851 with a brass frame, you can check out pics from the flic over there. Josey carried a 1860 Army in addition to his Walkers and an 1849 pocket. Perhaps it was carried by one of the many minor characters plus a Google search does not find this prop house...mmm????

1851 Navy - Got to re-watch the movie now, but I agree, I don't remember Eastwood carrying this model.

It wasn't carried by the Josie Wales character in the movie, but it doesn't mean that it wasn't used in the movie. I've give them $500 cash for the Gatling gun. ;)

It's an 1851 NAVY Colt with a rebated cylinder of 44 caliber and a barrel of 44.
Such a revolver never existed of course.

Kinda like an 1860 Army with a octagon barrel. Note the stepped water table and the rebated cylinder. Perhaps that was one of the 1860 Armies.

One of Josey's Walkers is on display at the NRA Museum at Bass Pro Shop here in Springfield, Mo. Neat gun; neat museum.

The pictured COA says "Colt Revolver, used by Clint Eastwood portraying "Josey Wales" "

Sounds like carried to me.

Gonna definitely rewatch the movie.

Per my thread on Stembridge Gun Rental movie guns in 2013, our pard Driftwood Johnson was at that amoskeag auction where the Richards-Masón cartridge conversion 1860 carried by Josie was sold for $23k. Driftwood said he was at that auction. It was a Stembridge Gun and was marked as such.
Plus wasnt JW a Malpaso/Warner Bros. flick and not Paramount?

I contacted a friend of mine who is into movie props. They generally come with a Certificate of Authenticity and not just a tag. Caveat Emptor.
